Office of Emergency Management

Rabun County Emergency Management Agency's mission is to provide mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery to emergencies. Our mission is to protect life and property in the event of a natural or man-made disaster in Rabun County.

Rabun County Search and Rescue is a Division of the Emergency Management Agency. Search, and Rescue is made up of 35 volunteers that respond to over 200 calls a year. Rescue responds to lost and injured people in remote areas, swift water accidents, high angle/technical rescues, boating accidents, and drownings.

Join our Team

If you are interested in joining the Search and Rescue team, please come to a meeting. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm. (note: November and December meetings may vary). The meeting location is 145 Syrup City Rd, Tiger, GA 30576.
