The Chief Financial Officer advises the County Commission and Administrator on all fiscal and budgetary matters.

This department is responsible for:

• Accounting for all financial transactions.
• Disbursements of funds.
• Approval of all purchase requisitions.
• Management of county treasury.
• Investing of all funds.
• Facilitating budget development and implementation.
• Monitoring of revenues and expenditures.
• Fixed asset inventory.
• All annual reporting such as audit, sales tax reports, EMMA, etc.

Our Finance Department strives to procure all supplies, materials, equipment, and services for the least amount of expense to our taxpayers while ensuring the quality level is not lost.

In an effort to open the bidding fields and to increase competition regarding procurement, Rabun County has joined Vendor Registration. All vendors can now register online and see when bids are posted.
