General Rules To Follow When Recycling:
- Separate your items at home.
- Clean your items. Take a moment to rinse bottles and cans.
- Flatten items if at all possible.
The following items are acceptable, if separated, at the transfer station.
Haulers are responsible for separations. Designated Areas are available for disposal.
- Tires: Current rates for regular tires are $2.00 without rim and $3.00 with the rim. Larger tires are $3.00 without rim and $5.00 with the rim.
- Metal: Large quantities of metal may be dropped off at the metal pad at no charge.
- Cardboard: Large quantities of cardboard may be taken to the bailing facility at no charge. Boxes must be empty of trash, packing, or wrapping material.
- Yard Waste: Limbs, grass clippings, leaves, and brush may be carried to a designated drop-off area in the C & D Landfill. You will be charged per ton for the disposal of this material.
- Building Materials: This will be deposited into the C & D Landfill. You will be charged per ton for the disposal of this material.
